Times of India (Chennai)  - THE J0URNEY H0ME: Radhanath Swami

In this autobiography, Radhanath Swami takes the readers on a journey from the suburbs of Chicago to the caves of Himalayas. This is a story of how a young seeker, who was dissatisfied with mediocre life while growing up in the warmth and love of a Jewish family, upset with the discrimination meted out to different races, and also disturbed by the so-called progressive way of life, sets out in search of inner harmony and union with the Divine. Learning lessons from the lives of people who have been victims of excesses, he, through patience, perseverance and prayer, takes a journey to follow his calling. Through severe hardships, apprenticeships with advanced yogis, and years of travel along the pilgrims path, Radhanath Swami eventually reaches India and finds the love he has been seeking in the mystic culture of the country.
The story is a frank narration that is engaging, humorous and also gives glimpses into mystic traditions.
